Save the Boobies!!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Poopsie's wants to be sure everyone is getting their Boobies checked...that goes for you men too.

According to the Susan G Komen site, "Getting tested regularly is the best way for women to lower their risk of dying from breast cancer. Screening tests can find breast cancer early, when it’s most treatable. In this section of About Breast Cancer, we discuss the strengths and weaknesses of each of the standard screening tests used today—mammography (including digital mammography), MRI, clinical breast exam and breast self-exam. We also discuss what happens if a test shows something abnormal."

If you are able to visit us during the month of October, you will see that we ALL wear an extra set of Pink Boobies during the month. It makes for a great way to spread the word and to be honest we really like the extra attention :)

We also have Save the Boobies and Save the Tatas shirts available for customers. Proceeds from the shirts will be donated to Susan G Komen foundation during the month of October. All pocket token proceeds will also be donated to the Susan G Komen foundation.

We hope you will go out and do your part in spreading the word about Breast Cancer Awareness this month. You never know...you just might save a life! Wouldn't that be the best!

A New Favorite Friend!

We have a new favorite at Poopsie's! Elvis the Lion by Beeposh has to be one of the cutest and snuggliest friends one can have. He is made of fleece...so he's super soft...and he has a wild mane. Maybe it's the fact that he is a bit unruly that makes us love him so.

Why Play Is Important

Kids Helping Flood Victims

A little fruit punch can go a long way.!!

Here is a wonderful group of kids that wanted to do something to help people impacted by this year's flooding. After a little bit of pondering they decided to set up a fruit punch and chocolate covered pretzels stand. After a day of fun in the sun, they raised $44.00!

They knew Poopsie's was collecting money to aid those impacted too, so they brought theirs to us. We were so impressed and proud that we raised their $44.00 to $100.

Way to go kids!! Keep up the good work. We hope you all enjoyed your goodie bags :)

Our Sticks Trunk Show is coming soon...

If you need an reason to travel to Galena...well here is a good one. On August 30th, you will have the opportunity to meet with Sticks Artists right here in our store. You will be missing out big time if you don't stop by. Not only are they a LOT of fun...they can help you design your very own Sticks piece too. What a great way to create your own heirloom!!

If you aren't familiar with Sticks, then you will want to check them out. All their pieces are handmade one-of-a-kind pieces and beautiful. We hope you will enjoy them as much as we do.

Harry Potter

Yesterday marked the one-year anniversary of the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Wow, time goes by fast!

And did you know, Harry Potter has a birthday coming up soon? His birthday is July 31st, so you have a few days to shop for Chocolate Frogs, Fizzing Whizbees, or a new Firebolt.

Why not use Harry's birthday as your reason to have one more party with the kids this summer. The book "Oh Yuck" might be of interest. Or maybe the Icky Poo Toy! The important thing is to be sure to have lots of fun doing whatever you choose to do.

Poopsie's has received an online face lift...or shall we say complete make-over...you be the judge. You will still find us at www.poopsies.com. We hope you will find our site to be very customer friendly and easy to navigate. We LOVE it! Our favorite new feature is the WISH LIST. It will hopefully take care of all those sticky notes you have to leave around the house as hints. Now you can simply set up your very own WISH LIST and anyone can shop from it for you. You are not going to believe what we have found this time... Road Kill Bingo. Yes you read that correctly. It's not your average game of bingo. If you are thinking of taking your family on the road this summer, then you need to check this game out. We love it. It is absolutely hysterical fun for the car.
